RRC4 Flight Computer
Our most advanced altimeter ever!

The RRC4 brings today’s latest embedded technology into any rocket you fly. It’s ready for everything from Class 1 mod-rocs to extreme Class 3 projects. You get 800 Hz three-axis inertial sensing, 100 Hz barometric sensing, and nearly 70 minutes of comprehensive, multi-flight data storage.

Your Interface Is a Web Page
Connect from anything, anywhere!

The RRC4 runs the mDACS web app over Bluetooth (Web Bluetooth), so connecting to your RRC4 is as easy as opening a web page. mDACS works online and offline, on PC, Mac, Android, iPhone and iPad.* Wherever you are, whenever you need it, on whatever device you have, you can connect to your RRC4.

Feather and Wing Architecture
Proven hardware, purpose-built for flight!

The RRC4 follows the Feather and Wing hardware convention established by Adafruit. The RRC4 Wing board carries a Particle Photon 2 as the brains of the system.

The Photon 2 Feather board brings:

  • Dual-core Realtek RTL8721DM MCU, led by an ARM Cortex-M33 at 200 MHz
  • 2 MB application flash, 3 MB of user RAM, and a dedicated 2 MB flash file system
  • Bluetooth LE 5 and dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi
  • Particle’s mature Device OS with FreeRTOS-based preemptive threading
  • 20 Hz flight recording, with nearly 70 minutes of multi-flight storage
  • Onboard 1S lithium charger with a JST-PH 2.0 battery connection
  • USB/CDC port for power, serial CLI, data upload, and firmware bootloading

The RRC4 Wing board is the sensor hub and flight interface for your rocket:

  • ADXL375 three-axis accelerometer, ±200 G, sampled at 800 Hz
  • MS5607 24-bit barometric sensor, 10 to 1200 mbar, sampled at 100 Hz
  • (4) independently programmable high-current pyro outputs
  • 3V3 serial port for NMEA GPS input and telemetry downlinking
  • Breakwire digital input (for custom permissives) or 5V analog input (for data capture)
  • 1S lithium power for optimal energy density
  • NMOS high-current, low-drop reverse polarity protection

Elevate your rocketry to new heights!

*mDACS requires a browser with Web Bluetooth support: a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome or Edge on PC, Mac and Android, or Bluefy on iPhone and iPad.
