Our "Navigator" RTx/GPS system provides a 100% autonomous real-time navigational solution to your rocket (bearing and distance displayed on our LCD Module) as well as providing real-time radio-based GPS coordinate and data telemetry capabilities. You can also make an optional tethering connection to an onboard RRC3 altimeter and receive its telemetry stream for an all-up, real-time Telematics system.

The RTx/GPS system communicates from your Rocket to a Base Unit using the license free 900 MHz ISM radio band (902-928 MHz). The radio modules employ a proprietary FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology and also operate with a proprietary networking feature which provides virtual interference free communications. Radio configuration and Radio Network ID's are also managed by us allowing you to "buy and fly" without concern over crossed signals and shared frequencies.

In addition to knowing your rockets location in real time, the RTx/GPS system is also a multi-flight GPS flight data recording unit, allowing you to fly all day without the need to stop and download your GPS data in between flights. Once you retrieve your rocket you can then "upload" your recorded GPS flight data via our USB-IO or BTMM Bluetooth m3 module (not included) into our mDACS application for inspection and export into Google Earth.

The RTX/GPS system is capable of recording up to 3 GPS flights @ 68 minutes each. Using the versatile "Epoch Log Trigger" option, you can start recording data after your first valid GPS fix, or delay recording up to 30 minutes while you prep at the pad.

Each Navigator System is furnished with our standard RPSMA Base Antenna. The only additional antenna you'll require would be when you choose the RPSMA Rocket Unit option that utilizes a high-performance external antenna system. The antenna we recommend for this application is our flexible 900MHz Bulkhead Mounting Antenna System.

NOTE: In order to display the real-time GPS coordinate data at your Base Station, you'll need to decide what type of HMI (Human / Machine Interface) you would like to use. The RTx/GPS supports multiple HMI's to best suit your budget and project needs (all sold separately).
